FAQ: Virtual Therapy in Massachusetts

  • I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where we can talk through what’s been going on and what you’re looking for. It’s a chance for you to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide if this feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure to move forward after.

    1. you pay for your session at the time of your appointment

    2. I provide a weekly invoice or monthly superbill

    3. You submit the invoice or superbill to your insurance company

    4. Your insurance reimburses you directly, depending on your plan

    Many clients find this process more straightforward than they expect, and I’m happy to answer questions of help you understand your benefits.

  • If you’re unsure about out of network coverage, call your insurance company (member services on the back of your card), and ask

    1. Do I have out of network mental health benefits?

    2. What is my deductible? (if you have a deductible, this is the total amount you pay before insurance will start covering services).

    3. What percentage of the fee is reimbursed to me?

    4. Is there a limit on the number of sessions?
